What Happens in Eviction Court
The eviction court can be a daunting experience for both landlords and tenants. Typically, a judge will hear arguments from both sides and review any evidence presented. If the judge rules in favor of the landlord, the tenant may be given a set timeframe to vacate the property. If the tenant is able to present a compelling defense, the judge may dismiss the case or allow the tenant more time to resolve the issue.
