D3 is a drive mode on Honda Civics equipped with automatic transmissions. It’s designed for city driving, allowing for smoother shifting at lower speeds. When engaged, the transmission will stay in third gear, providing better acceleration and response for city streets. However, it’s not recommended for highway driving as it limits the transmission’s gear range.
