As military duty often entails being away from family, holidays and other important events, it’s no surprise that there is a particular month that soldiers might dread. The month that makes them feel the most homesick, lonely and isolated. Some might say that it’s the month of December, filled with reminders of warmth, love and familial connections that soldiers are missing out on. However, others might argue that it’s the month of March, when the weather is unpredictable and morale is low, making the hardships of military life even harder to bear. Regardless of the month, it’s important to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices that soldiers make every day.
